Methods Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the relationship between behavioral and social factors on depressive symptoms among 420 PSH residents participating in a health coaching intervention. Results Improvements in social support over 6 months significantly predicted a reduction in depressive symptoms (p < .0001). Changes in physical activity (p = .722) and diet quality (p = .282) over 6 months did not significantly predict changes in depressive symptoms. Conclusions In this population, improving social support may be more effective in reducing depressive symptoms compared with modifications in diet quality and physical activity.", }
