Objective: We evaluated the feasibility and efficacy of the Choose Healthier Coach Hotline (CHCH), a free, brief motivational coach counseling service and information resource, on physical activity and healthy eating for adults calling an information hotline. Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews (N = 45) to assess implementation feasibility and participant satisfaction; interviewer-administered measures assessed health behavior changes using a pretest/posttest design. Results: There was high participant satisfaction, implementation feasibility, and positive short-term changes for decreases in sitting time (p = .004) and sugar-sweetened beverage consumption (p = .015). Conclusion: Findings provide support for the feasibility and efficacy of the CHCH and exploration of larger-scale evaluation in call centers.
